Mock test log: watch your band grow

After every practice test, add your scores here. For Listening and Reading, enter the number of correct answers out of 40 and they turn into a band automatically. For Writing and Speaking, enter your estimated band. Leave a skill empty if you didn’t test it.

Every mock is a photo of your progress, not a judgement.

One test tells you where you are today. Five tests tell you where you are going. Log every full mock, look at the chart, and let the numbers show you which skill to train next.

Band maths

How the overall band is rounded

The four bands are averaged. An average ending in .25 rounds up to .5, and an average ending in .75 rounds up to the next whole band. Anything lower rounds down.

Tips for a useful log

  • Take every mock under real conditions: timed, in order, no pauses.
  • Log it on the same day, while you still remember the hard parts.
  • Be strict with Writing and Speaking: if unsure between two bands, pick the lower one.

Good to know

Listening and Reading conversions here are approximate Academic tables. Real tests shift by a mark or so, so look at the trend over several mocks, not at one single score.
